Malaysia, South Korea, Thailand, the highest anti-dumping duties imposed on cold-rolled stainless steel 111.61%

Malaysian government announced on the 8th, from China, South Korea and Thailand and other countries and regions imported cold-rolled stainless steel anti-dumping duties.

The Malaysian Ministry of International Trade and Industry said in a statement that the Malaysian government passed an anti-dumping investigation and finally ruled that it would impose anti-dumping duties on cold-rolled stainless steel imported from mainland China, Taiwan, South Korea and Thailand for a period of five years from February 2018 8th until February 7, 2023.

The statement said the anti-dumping investigation was launched in May 2017 as a Malaysian steelmaker filed a complaint on behalf of the local cold-rolled stainless steel industry, charging that the country or countries dumped the product to Malaysia at a much lower price than the domestic market.

The statement also announced anti-dumping duties. For enterprises in mainland China, Shanxi Taigang stainless products will be levied 2.68% anti-dumping duties, other companies will be imposed 23.95% anti-dumping duties. Taiwan, South Korea and Thailand are facing the highest anti-dumping tax rate of 111.61%.
